May 14, 2020 We'll be transitioning from SonicWALL to Sophos XG soon. Our current network is a 20 satellite sites and HQ hub-and-spoke configuration. Each satellite has 1 ISP, the HQ has 2 (ISP1 and ISP2) All VPN tunnels from satellites connect to HQ's ISP1, with ISP2 sitting in failover mode, and not used for VPN at the moment. The migration process is as follows:
- You create an account, see Create account.
- You export your SonicWall configuration, see Export a SonicWall configuration.
- You import your SonicWall configuration into Sophos Firewall Migration Assistant, see Import SonicWall configuration.
The tool analyzes your configuration file and imports the settings.
- Choose the Sophos XG Firewall you want to migrate to.
- Amend the settings so that they are correct for your chosen Sophos XG Firewall.
- Generate a Sophos XG Firewall configuration file and save it. You can then upload it to your Sophos XG Firewall, see Export Sophos XG Firewall configuration.
